ARIZONA: Company choreographers are invited to apply for the Wickenburg Residency with the opportunity to pursue new projects, mount work, or collaborate with other artists, free from everyday pressures. These residencies are intended for chamber dance companies. Previous dance companies have included American Ballet Theatre II and Northwest Dance Theatre. NEW YORK: Whilst & My Letter, two never-before-seen solos from Swedish choreographer Mats Ek and dancer Ana Laguna, his wife, offer a personal response to feelings of isolation brought on by the global pandemic. POLAND: Sir Twardowski is a ballet composed by Polish composer Ludomir Rozycki. Its plot is based on one of the most famous Polish legends about allegedly the first Pole on the Moon. This ballet is very popular in Poland and was staged very often. This year passes one hundred years since its world premiere, sir Twarowski references Polish national dances and also folk dances of other nations.
