Legacy choreographers give us inspiration! Studying their works, learning about their lives and artistic processes provide a real learning and connect us to the earlier roots of the historic and artistic canon of choreographic traditions, relevant for today’s 21st-century dancemaking. In addition to providing the path to seek permission for restaging a masterwork, many of these sites include profiles of a master choreographers and their works, allowing their dances to remain living testimonies of their artistic contributions and cultural legacies.
